The Fingertip List Philosophy
Building local relationships helps communities grow both socially and economically.
A huge amount of knowledge, goods, and services are available in our own local communities. Unfortunately, not all of us are aware of the resources that are locally available, nor have the time to research and build relationships with other community members.
We started The Fingertip List to help build relationships through open forums where community issues can be discussed, ideas can be exchanged, and knowledge can be shared. These forums help neighbors get to know one another and businesses to network both with each other and with the community. You never know who you can help, or who can help you.
In addition we wanted a means to find and support these local business people through The Fingertip List directory. Buying local impacts:
The local economy keeping more money to circulate and support other local businesses.
The environment less transportation is less fuel used.
The individual less fuel used and less travel time means less cost for the item or service.
The character of a community more unique stores, instead of big box stores.
The Fingertip List forums and directories are based on areas within counties, keeping them truly local!
